Limassol Nightlife + Entertainment

Throughout its history Limassol was known as the town of fun and entertainment. Famed for the hospitality of its people, archaeological sites, mediaeval castles, fun-loving reputation, first class hotels, designer shops and the best nightlife on the island, Limassol is the perfect destination for holidaying.

Waterpark

Fasouri Watermania is presently the biggest Waterpark in Cyprus both in size (over 100.000 square meters – 25 acres) and number of the attractions and facilities (with 30 different slides for all ages, football pitch, two restaurants and three snack bars). It entertains thousands of local and tourist visitors every day. Fasouri Watermania is the ideal place for families, friends and children to spend a fun day out; it operates from May to October (Weather Permitting). Bus service is available from the Limassol tourist area to the Waterpark.

Clubs, Lounge Bars + Restaurants

Limassol has a wealth of choice when it comes to nightlife. It has the hottest open air summer clubs and beach bars with hip and trendy people to see and be seen situated directly by the Mediterranean Sea hosting international DJ’s, artists, performing live events, fashion shows and parties.

Along the cost of Limassol there are various restaurants, lounge café-bars and taverns offering a mixture of cuisines ranging from traditional Cypriot to modern East.

Festivals

One of the major festivals on the island is the annual Wine Festival held in Limassol during September, where many wineries offer samples of their wine for a period of ten days.

Carnival Fiesta begins 10 days before Lent. Festivities begin with the Carnival King entering the city, decorated for the occasion. On Sunday the youngest participate in the Children’s Parade and then the Serenades’ shows become the focus of the event. During the 10-day Carnival period many hotels and clubs organize fancy dress parties. The Sunday of the second week of the festivities is the climax of the Carnival. This is when the Grand Carnival Parade takes place. Colourful floats and groups of fancy-dressed people, singing and dancing, move along the Makarios III Avenue in Limassol.
